Jonathan R. Keller is President and CEO of California Family Council, which advances God’s design for Life, Family, and Liberty through California’s Church, Capitol, and Culture. He has led the council since 2014 and has worked in pro-life and pro-family advocacy since 2003. He lives in the Fresno area.

Jonathan R. Keller is President and CEO of California Family Council, which advances God’s design for Life, Family, and Liberty through California’s Church, Capitol, and Culture. He also leads California Family Alliance, the council’s legislative advocacy affiliate. California Family Council is part of the Family Policy Alliance network.
Jonathan began his advocacy career in 2003 at Right to Life of Central California, where he served as executive director from 2008 to 2013. He has led California Family Council since 2014 and has testified before California legislative committees more than twenty times. He speaks to churches, pregnancy centers, and civic groups across the state and the nation, and his comments have been carried by the Associated Press, Fox News, and CalMatters. He is a graduate of Fresno Pacific University and an Eagle Scout. He lives in the Fresno area with his wife and their two sons.

Jonathan R. Keller is President and CEO of California Family Council, which advances God’s design for Life, Family, and Liberty through California’s Church, Capitol, and Culture. He also leads California Family Alliance, the council’s legislative advocacy affiliate. California Family Council is part of the Family Policy Alliance network.
Jonathan’s calling began early. As a teenager in the Sacramento area, he completed his Eagle Scout project for a local pregnancy resource center, and at eighteen he stood in the cold at the National March for Life in Washington, D.C. He began his career in 2003 at Right to Life of Central California, first as youth director and then, from 2008 to 2013, as executive director. In January 2014, he succeeded founder Ron Prentice as leader of California Family Council.
Since then, Jonathan has testified before California legislative committees more than twenty times. He helped lead the statewide opposition to AB 2943, which its author withdrew in 2018. He has hosted the California March for Life at the State Capitol every year since it began in 2021. He co-signed the official ballot argument against Proposition 3 in 2024, and that December he spoke on the steps of the U.S. Supreme Court as the justices heard United States v. Skrmetti. His comments have been carried by the Associated Press, Fox News, CalMatters, KQED, and CBN News, and he is a regular voice on Right to Life Radio in Fresno.
Jonathan graduated from Fresno Pacific University with a degree in organizational leadership, and he is an Eagle Scout. He and his wife, Julia, live in the Fresno area with their two sons.
